New York City is a thriving melting pot of the United States. The city’s restaurants, people and culture are incredibly diverse.

I recently visited New York City, staying at the Millenium Broadway located in the heart of Times Square.

New York City is beautiful, and there is always something to do. It is truly the city that never sleeps. Tourists meet new people every day and many have an eye opening experience. Visitors will see things of all different styles and cultures.

The people of New York City come from all different backgrounds. Diversity is something New York takes pride in. Not only are the people diverse, but the food and culture are equally as different. I found diversity throughout Chinatown.

Chinatown is located near Soho and Tribeca in Manhattan.

Walking down the streets of Chinatown was a special experience, because there are hundreds of little markets all lined up next to each other with crates of frozen fish, meat, octopus, shellfish and other types of food.

It does not seem to be the most sanitary place, but visiting there is something I highly recommend.

Another great place with a lot of diversity was Little Italy. Little Italy is an area right next to Chinatown. Although Little Italy is smaller than Chinatown, there is just as much to see.

Little Italy is filled with cafés and pastry shops. The best cannolis and pastas can be found in here.

Another big thing to do in NYC is shop. My favorite place to shop was in Soho on Prince Street. I was able to take the subway from Times Square to Soho several times for shopping.

The stores in New York City are anywhere from one story to four stories tall.

The subway was something quite different. It was crowded with people rushing to get from point A to point B. A single subway fare costs two dollars. Once on the subway, passengers wait for their stop. Subway rides are generally quick and convenient.

Another popular way of transportation is taking a taxi. Taxis are everywhere in the city and they are easy to hail. A taxi fee can rise quickly, especially when there is traffic. In consequence of this, I recommend taking the subway or walking.

Walking in New York City is not as painful as it sounds. There are so many beautiful things in the city to see. It is a gorgeous place filled with many opportunities.
