Setting the Fashion Trends to Start Off 2017
On Jan. 8, several celebrities strolled on the red carpet of the Golden Globe awards 2017. Amongst those celebrities were some of the best dressed men and women.

Along with the great first impression of Lily came the boys from the Netflix Original series, “Stranger Things”. These boys have claimed their fame on the show, and continued to impress the fans on the red carpet as Finn Wolfhard (Mike) was spotted in Kenneth Cole and Noah Schnapp (Will) in Dolce & Gabbana.
Reese Witherspoon grasped the photographer’s’ attention with a striking strapless yellow Versace gown with a thigh-high slit up the front, and glamorous accessories that were categorized in the “classic Hollywood look”, according to People Magazine.
2017 Golden Globes Best Actress went to Viola Davis, as she also wore a beautiful yellow “paillette-embroidered stretch-tulle” dress, and featured “millions of tiny sequins,” according to Bustle.
Best Original nominee went to Justin Timberlake, as he sported a sleek grey and black suit. Alongside him was the beautiful Jessica Biel looking chic in a romantic dress with a deep cut.
Then came the best dressed couple, Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively. The Deadpool star’s lady was striking in the Atelier Versace dress. Lively completed her look with Louboutin shoes and delicate Lorraine Schwartz jewelry as she held Reynolds’ hand down the red carpet. Her right hand man didn’t look half bad either in a dapper black and white suit. To say the least, Hollywood’s golden couple can do no wrong, according to People Magazine.
Along the red carpet came CoverGirl brand ambassador Sofia Vergara as she elegantly embraced every bit of glam. The presumably ageless 44-year-old Modern Family actress, who presented at the fantastic event, walked the talk with her intricately embroidered Zuhair Murad couture dress by pairing it with a subtle-yet-glowing makeup complexion.
Famously known as Childish Gambino, Donald Glover won his first award for Best Comedy Series for Atlanta (which he created, wrote and starred in). He broke several big menswear rules, yet he was still one of the most stylish men of the evening. Glover stole the show with his brown velvet Gucci suit, bringing back the velvet look for men. Fashion statements were made on Jan. 6, and will continue to be made in the coming years of the Golden Globes Awards.
